Hrm...so...I was initially not going to post on this thread, just because I doubt that anyone here shares my odd taste in music, but I think I'm going to put out an attempt, at the least.

Sooo...songs you should download (or, rather, purchase them completely legally, you evil criminals!), at least to give them a whirl:

"A Bit of You" - Rufus Wainwright: A nice, introductory song to the artist. It's not as far out there in form or lyrics as a lot of his songs are, and it's irredeemably catchy.

"Agnus Dei" - Rufus Wainwright: Operatic and in Latin but still a great song. At the very least, the vocals on it are a nice representation of just how godly Wainwright's voice is.

"Anthem" - Leonard Cohen: Slow and such, but some of Cohen's best lyrics. ^^ That's all I'm going to say.

"California" - Rufus Wainwright: Another more down-to-earth-ish song. The lyrics quite often make no sense at all, admittedly, but it's very nice, instrumentally and vocally, and, again, not as completely detached from modern, popular music as most of his stuff is. And the entire, ambiguous praise and mocking of California is great.

"Democracy" - Leonard Cohen: Fun. Very pessimistic, but a very nice song.

"Hallelujah" - Either Leonard Cohen or Rufus Wainwright: A great song, with incredibly impressive lyrics. Cohen's version's the original, and it's arrangement is much better than Wainwright's, but Leonard Cohen just can't sing. Wainwright's version loses a lot of what Cohen's arrangement has, but he's just a much better vocalist.

And, Simba...? Dancing Queen...? *blinks*

You Get What You Give- The New Radicals..

One Hit Wonder..Should be the theme song to Gen. Y..If I were up to choosing...

Wake up kids
We've got the dreamers disease
Age 14 we got
you down on your knees
So polite, you're busy still saying please
Fri -
enemies, who when you're down ain't your friend
Every night we smash their
Mercedes - Benz
First we run and then we laugh till we cry
But when the
night is falling
And you cannot find the light
If you feel your dream is
dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got
the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't
give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget you only get what you
give
Four a. m. we ran a miracle mile
Were flat broke but hey we do it in
style
The bad rich
God's flying in for your trial

This whole damn
world can fall apart
You'll be ok follow your heart
You're in harms
way
I'm right behind
Now say youre mine

Fly high
What's real
can't die
You only get what you give
Just dont be afraid to
leave
Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer
crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion mag
shoots
With the aid of 8 dust brothers Beck, Hanson
Courtney Love and
Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come
around
We'll kick your ass in!
Don't let go
One dance
left

{unsaid lyrics from liner}
Championed by a soulless media
misleading
People unaware they're bleeding
No one with a brain is
believing
It's so sad you lost the meaning
Never knew it anyway
Human
natures so predictable
I'm a fool to do your dirty work whoa, whoa
[/size]

Blind Melon- No Rain...

The stupid tap dancing bee girl, reminded me off this one story I read of this one story I read..about a girl that basically looked exactly like this one chick, turning her older brother into a baby girl and then into tap shoes..The Story sucked though..But It did give me a mental image of that stupid bee girl being slightly evil for some reason..

Sanitarium..

Who can admit they Listen to ABBA and then listen to Metallica?
I can lol..

This song I've had stuck in my brain as of late..
Metallica Though, I only like the stuff from 1983-1991, some other stuff like "Fuel", And their little covers album, but thats about it...

But seriously, If you're a fan of heavy rock, Pick up their older albums before stuff like their "St. Anger" or System of A Down..

Oh, and now stuff to actually download. Or, well, listen to. You'll have to pester me to get the location of where to get these songs :p

These are all for you, Mugi and Myoti. I just got myself 1.33 GB worth of One Piece music this past week, and it's so catchy I can't stop thinking japanese long enough to do my spanish homework Razz

Wanted!
Usopp Drop (Passable as an AMV)
Spirit of Zoro (Passable as an AMV)
1 2 Jango
Sanba Bonbaa Akuma no Mi
Hi Ho Ready Go
Pandaman
Mugiwara no Jyoriirojyaa

For the most part, they're nothing special... I've just listed the names of those that have stuck in my head. Such as the night I had the One Piece dream that involved Usopp turning into a bug, when I woke up I had Usopp Drop going through my head.

Pandaman and Mugiwara no Jyoriirojyaa I couldn't find YouTube AMVs or anything... I've not had Pandaman play through my head, but it's just so cool! "P-A-N-D-A-M, A-N SUGOI!" XD

Oh... and since it's not an AMV video, I now present to you the jewel out of these, One Piece's Jungle Fever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMQ4LppBbWw
Some of the best I've seen yet. Ah, but don't be decieved - look closely at the characters, and you'll discover something interesting. That is, if you can peel your eyes away from Fat Nami - God, that is so hilarious! XD
